My fiance’s sister commissioned me for a drink sign for each of the mixed drinks and different beers offered at their wedding celebration in October. Each bust is a portrait of the couple’s pets.
I was given a mood board for a feel of the overall theme of the wedding. It was full of floral motifs and purple tones contrasting with dark colors and metallics. The first version of the sign was horizontal but eventually we settled on a vertical format for better readability. I liked the hand drawn type on the busts for each drink but also added a second title and description for the drinks so the options could be clearly seen. Around each bust I drew autumnal details, such as cinnamon sticks, pumpkins and apple cider donuts, showcasing the bride’s love of the season. During the event people couldn't stop raving about it and I hope to do more signs like this for events in the future!
